Message	Nissan designed it that way from teh factory, To help balance out the engine if one turbo is working harder than the other side. Using a FMIC (horizontal), takes AWAY the crossflow (pass turbo feeding Driver bank, vise versa) I think you are misunderstanding or maybe it was just a typo. NO, This picture is not photoshopped.
